Get your group into the same classroom

Before inviting friends

Check the exact Steam app and build for every player. The store currently describes up to six players, while the release announcement plans an increase to eight. Do not assume eight-player rooms or LAN are already available in the Demo.

Choose a host and a channel

Agree who will create the room using the options actually visible in the game. Share any invite or room information privately. Use your group’s chosen voice channel and test the microphone before the session.

Match the room conditions

Ask friends to compare edition, update status and any visible region or room settings. Only use options that your installed build offers; this site cannot create, inspect or repair game rooms.

Confirm the group is ready

Have each player acknowledge they are in the intended room and can hear the agreed voice channel. Review roles and expectations before starting. Tick the party checklist as a preparation record, not as a connection-quality score.

If joining fails

Check Steam connection status and whether an update is pending. Ask one friend to retry after confirming the same build. Record the error wording privately for a support report. Avoid changing every setting at once.

Sources and context

Role and feature facts come from the sources below. Preparation and diagnostic steps are general advice, not hands-on test results. Use current in-game prompts for exact controls and item behavior.
